As any casual weekend jogger knows, sprinting while simultaneously running a marathon presents a challenge. A different pace, set of skills and mindset are required for a short, fast dash as compared with a longer haul. But in The Rockefeller Foundation’s work to contribute to equitable vaccine distribution in the U.S., that is exactly the dual-purposed race we face.

In the effort to provide equitable vaccine access, our role has been to listen deeply to communities, understand the work they are already doing, and then help connect the dots across stakeholders so that their reach can be expanded. Our efforts reflect our values: a commitment to transparency, data-sharing and culturally competent communication.
